AMRISTAR SOLUTIONS WINS MAJOR AWARD FOR i-DELVE TECHNOLOGY
November 3rd, 2002
Amristar Solutions, a small Perth company, last night won a prestigious
award at the national
Asia
Pacific ICT Awards
(the APICTAs), held at
Conrad Jupiters on the Gold Coast. Finalists from all over Australia and
New Zealand attended the awards ceremony. Amristar received the award in
the category of Smart ICT (Information Communication Technology) for
their innovative i-delve technology, a unique web-based mapping
solution. PIVoD
Technologies also won in the same category, the judges
being unable to choose between the two WA companies.
Mr. Sonny Tham, director of Amristar Solutions, accepted the award.
"This kind of recognition is very important to us", he said. "It gives
us impetus to expand nationally and internationally. The fact that two
local companies won in the same category serves to highlight the degree
of world-class IT innovation that originates over here in Perth". The
award includes automatic entry to the international version of the
APICTAs, including airfares and accommodation, where Amristar will
compete against finalists from fourteen countries. Last month,
aussiehome.com,
another Perth company, won two awards at the WA version of
the APICTAs for their "unique map-based property site" that incorporates
Amristar's i-delve technology.
Developed in-house by Amristar, and over two years in the making, i-delve
is a client/server technology that was designed specifically to allow
Internet users to intuitively interact with large amounts of spatial
data over typically low-bandwidth connections. It is an extremely
visually impressive application of innovative, locally developed
technology. i-delve is currently being prototyped for local and state
government agencies throughout WA and NSW, with negotiations with the
Queensland government arising as a direct consequence of winning the
award. For more information, contact Jason Hutchens via the contact

Amristar Solutions is an intelligent IT innovation company. Its founders
are all highly successful engineering graduates of the University of
